Toyota Recalls Thousands of Vehicles in the U.S.

By CBS-8 Reporter

The recall includes 760-thousand RAV4 S-U-Vs, with model years between 2006 and 2011.  The automaker says it's also recalling 18-thousand Lexus H-S 250h models from 2010.

Toyota says the move is due to a suspension problem that could cause crashes. The automaker says that if the nuts on the rear suspension arms of these vehicles aren't tightened properly during a wheel alignment service, the arms may come loose or separate.

A Toyota spokesman says the issue may be connected to nine crashes and three minor injuries in the U-S.  The automaker says it's working on a fix for the problem. Dealers will repair the issue for free.
