National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day Announced

The Attorney General and other state leaders proclaimed that today is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

 

This is the fourth Take Back that is designed combat the abuse of potentially dangerous medicines that are expired or no longer needed.

The Department of Public Health says that prescription drug abuse is a public health issue and the nation's fastest growing drug problem.

 

Alabamians will be able to turn in old prescription drugs at drop-off points throughout the state on April 28th.
