The demand for blood is high but the supply is low.   According to the Red Cross, although about 38 percent of people can donate blood, less than 10 percent do. While they welcome all blood types, there is a specific need for O-negative, A-negative and B-negative blood.

Alabama News Network is  teaming up the American Red Cross to help save lives. This Tuesday come out to Eastdale Mall from 10 to 7 for the "Donor Round Up."

You can also call 1-800-REDCROSS for other donation locations
