The Prattville-Autauga Humane Society needs your help to win "The Animal Rescue Site $300,000 Shelter Challenge of 2012" (with Petfinder.com).

This year the Prattville-Autauga Humane Society is teaming up with the city of Prattville and Mayor Bill Gillespie to gain support and win grant money for their shelter. The grand prize is a $5,000 dollar grant. Humane Society Board of Directors member Sheree Ward says the grant would go a long way

in saving animals.

"When your having three hundred plus animals brought in a month and your only sending out maybe 60 or 70 month, space becomes an issue," she said. "Our goal is if we win this money we want the put it towards building additional kennels to house our stray animals."

The Prattville-Autauga Humane Society is ranked 1st in Alabama and 9th across the nation.

Vote for the Prattville-Autauga Humane Society! Polls are open until September 16th.
