7-Year-Old Drowns in River in Covington Co.

A child who drowned in a river in south Alabama has been identified.

The boy has been identified as 7-year-old Noah Davis of Andalusia.

Authorities say he was swimming with two adults in the Yellow River, in the area of North Creek Road, south of Andalusia when it happened.

His body was recovered by divers during the rescue efforts.

The Covington County Sheriff's Office is investigating exactly what happened.
