Melinda Nichole Kirkland was arrested this afternoon.

Crenshaw County Sheriff's Investigators say her child was born last month and doctors reported she tested positive for a controlled substance.

Though, investigators say the baby is doing well.

 

 

A mother is behind bars on chemical endangerment charges.
