Beach Traffic Brings Booming Business to GreenvilleCBS 8 News is covering Greenville, where business is booming, as beach travelers make the city their one-stop shop.Business workers expect even more traffic flow in the next couple of weeks. Traffic is flooding interstate 65 as beach-goers, like Jack and Shirley Bonney, stop to fill their tanks and grab a bite to eat. In the last few years, bad weather, the BP oil spill and the economy have caused fewer travelers to head south. Chevron employee, Leslie Anderson, says that traffic has picked up lately. City officials are thrilled. "We feel like things are turning into the right direction, we're looking for a big year and a lot of beach traffic, a lot of traffic on interstate 65 and a lot of increase in sales tax revenue and that's what it's all about," says Dexter McLendon
