Proposed Redistricting of Butler CountyThe new legislative redistricting plan could bring changes in Butler County... an area that State Senator Bryan Taylor represents. The proposed new district lines show that State Senator, Hank Sanders of Selma, would represent the area... including Greenville. Mayor Dexter McLendon says he looks forward to working with Senator Sanders, if the redistricting plan is approved. "Due to the numbers and the federal law, I had a pretty good idea that we were going to be in a different district," Said Mayor Dexter McLendon. "And we look forward to working with whatever Senator we have. I understand from what I've been told that it will be Hank Sanders. I know Senator Sanders well and I look forward to working with him."
