Dothan Police Officer Suspended for Facebook Comments

Corporal Raemonica Carney made comments on Facebook in February appearing to be favorable toward former L.A. police officer Christopher Dorner, the ex-cop charged in connection to several shootings that left four dead, including
Carney's online comments were deemed inappropriate by police personnel.
"It caused a general alarm within the department, it disrupted the operations, which is exactly what the charges were," said Dothan Police Chief Greg Benton.
Carney says she doesn't regret her posts and doesn't think they violated any policy. She claims race and gender are partially to blame for the backlash.
However, the Dothan Police Department has a detailed policy on the use of social media for on and off the job.
