62 year old Joseph Russell of Opp was found guilty today of assault.

He was charged with attacking a man with a knife at the Little Harlem Club in Opp in november of 2008.

Prosecutors say Russell's granddaughter had committed a crime against the victim - and that Russell cut his throat in retaliation for her arrest.

Russell will be sentenced in july... he faces life in prison.
