By CBS 8 News

An Opp man is arrested after police say he made terroristic threats to an Andalusia convenience store owner.

Andalusia police say Damon Magwood is facing one count of making terroristic threats and one count of attempted extortion.

They say Magwood called the store and demanded $500 from the store owner or he would kill his wife.

The store owner then met Magwood at a location to deliver the money, but police were also there waiting.

Magwood is being held on a $200,000 bond.
