A historical marker in Butler County has been restored to remember the first rural home that received electricity in the area...

Pioneer Electric Co-op's staff and and its board of trustees rededicated its historical marker as part of the company's 75 year anniversary. The unveiling was held near the first home energized by Pioneer electric in 1939.

The original marker was dedicated in 1985, but it was sent to be restored last September. The ceremony ends the year-long celebration of Pioneer Electric's 75-year anniversary..
