Project Lifesaver Coming to Butler Co.
By Elise Burkart

CBS 8 News is covering Butler County where after the body of a missing elderly man was found 7 days later last week, the sheriff's office is making every effort to start a program to prevent that from happening again.

Sheriff, Kenny Harden, is working to start Project Lifesaver in Butler County. The program would provide tracking equipment and bracelets for people suffering from dementia.

Harden says if 77 year old Billy Heartsill had been wearing the bracelet, he may have been found within 30 minutes of wandering away from his home that night.

The Heartsill family has been asking people to donate to the effort.

Harden says the program will cost $8-$10,000.
