Suspect Charged in Second Alleged Butler Co. CrimeCBS 8 News is covering Butler County where a man arrested on charges of shooting a woman in the head last weekend is now connected to another crime, according to the sheriff.
Kenneth Dewayne Morgan was charged in an assault case we told you about Monday, where a woman survived a gunshot wound to the head. But now, the Butler County Sheriff's office says they've linked Morgan to a second alleged crime. Sheriff Kenny Harden says Morgan broke in to a home, which is used as a hunting camp, stole several items and set it on fire. He is facing charges of receiving stolen property and arson. "Anybody that is committing these kind of crimes, they are a danger here in the county so we do need to try to keep them behind bars. We're going to continue to work on this and I think we'll have more charges coming," says Harden. Morgan is being held in the Butler County Jail. |
