A Georgiana man is back behind bars after Opp police say he escaped from an Opp hospital following his arrest.

Opp Police say 19-year old Lajon Pier Pate was charged with public intoxication and a minor in consumption of alcohol.

Investigators say Pate asked for medical attention, and was taken to Mizell Memorial Hospital in Opp. That's when they say he escaped.

Police say he may be facing additional charges.
