Longtime Troy Mayor Jimmy Lunsford says he will not be seeking another term. 

Lunsford, who had been in the mayor's seat for over thirty years, made the official announcement at a department meeting at Troy City Hall Friday morning. 

Last fall, Mayor Lunsford told CBS 8 News he would be seeking re-election, but in May, he gave us clues that he was rethinking his decision. 

City Councilman and longtime Lunsford friend Jason Reeves has already announced that he would run for mayor.
