State troopers now know what caused an ambulance to flip yesterday afternoon in Pike County.

Troopers say the crash was caused by a blown tire.

The ambulance flipped on U.S. Highway 231 as it was taking a pregnant patient to a Montgomery hospital.

Troopers say two people were injured in the crash, but the pregnant woman was not one of them.

The nurse on board suffered some cuts to face and the paramedic suffered some bruising.
