A recent arrest of former NBA and Auburn basketball star Wesley Person is raising questions on whether or not he should be able to keep his position as a high school coach.

Wesley Person was arrested for the third time in Crenshaw County a month ago. He was charged with harrassment, assault and other domestic violence charges.

Person spent the past year as head coach for the Bullock County High School basketball team. He played at Auburn University before being drafted by the NBA in 1994.

Bullock County Superintendent Keith Stewart says he's aware of the arrest. Person only had a one year contract with the school system and is not a faculty member. This means he has not been in contact with students since the end of basketball season, which was prior to the most recent arrest.

The board of education will make all decisions on coaching and athletic programs next month.
