Educational Leadership Hall of Fame Inducts New MembersFrom the CBS 8 Troy Newsroom-- The Alabama Educational Leadership Hall of Fame has three new members. Former State School Superintendent Joe Morton, former Alabama Association of School Boards president Robert Lane and retired Alabama High School Athletic Association Director Daniel Washburn were inducted this morning. The ceremony took place on Troy University's campus, which houses the Hall of Fame. The inductees say it's an honor to be among the educational greats. "When I opened the letter that explained what was happening, I thought they sent it to the wrong person. You have to read it twice," says Morton. "It is quite a honor and a honor to my family and a honor to the people I worked with for many years. I'm very overwhelmed by it," says Morton. The Educational Leadership Hall of Fame was established in 1982, and there are currently 37 inductees. Most Viewed
