A Pike County man is killed after flames engulf his home New Year's Eve.

It happened on County Road 1115 in the Mount Moriah area of northern Pike County. Pike County Investigator Troy Johnson says 74-year-old Chester McQuagge was found dead when volunteer fire crews were battling the fire.

The state fire marshall is also investigating. Investigators believe the cause was electrical and started near a refrigerator. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death but no foul play is expected. The home is a complete loss.
