Troy Miracle League Playground Fundraising in Final Stretch

Kids with disabilities in Troy could soon have a new place to play. That's if the city can raise the rest of the money for a brand new playground geared especially to them.

The city is raising money for a Miracle League Playground, which will include special ramps and activity areas for kids with physical and mental disabilities. The city is about $30,000 short of its $220,000 goal, so it's asking people to donate money to make up the difference.

If you want to help, you can come to the city's yard sale fundraiser, which is being held from six to noon this Saturday at the Troy Parks and Recreation gym. All money raised from the yard sale goes to fund the Miracle League Playground.
