From the CBS 8 Troy Newsroom--For those of you at home who are rushing to get your taxes in by April 15, you can breathe easy. This year, taxes aren't due until the 17th, but advisers in the area say that there is still a large group of people who haven't filed.

So here's the good news. Because April 15 falls on a Sunday, and Monday, April 16 happens to be holiday, your taxes aren't due until Tuesday. While many say you've already filed, tax advisers in Troy say they still have a jam-packed schedule.

This year, you have two extra days to file your taxes.

While that won't affect the 99 million of you who have already done so, Tax Central Adviser Tony Falls is bracing himself for the next couple days.

"You're always going to have people rushing in at the last minute," Falls says. "I'm just here waiting for the people who have last minute changes, and just need to be here and get them what they need."

Falls says in the last three years, there hasn't been much growth in the tax industry, and he blames electronic filing.

"People aren't so afraid to approach that on the Internet. The programs can a lot of times walk you through it," he says.

And while some say that's true.

"It's quicker. You get the information in quicker, and you get your refund back quicker," says Jackson Thorton who files electronically.

Others say they rely on the traditional way: a tax adviser and their trusted postman.

"It's nice to have somebody there that you can sit down and talk with," says Brad Addison who uses a tax adviser. "They help you out with anything that you need."

"No errors. We know we're not messing up, because they're professionals," says Alice Jones who also uses with a tax adviser.

For those of you who are procrastinating, you have until midnight Tuesday if you're filing electronically. If you're sending it in, the post offices in Pike County will close at 5 p.m. Tuesday night, and for Montgomery offices, they'll stay open until 6.
