Three people are behind bars after a burglary in Pike County. And according to the Pike County Sheriff's Office, it started as a car wreck to lure the home owner out of the house.

Kenneth Phillips and another unidentified suspect allegedly stole a truck from Pronto Grassing in Troy and crashed it into a fence about a mile away, earlier in December.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the suspects waited for the store owner to meet police at the scene of the wreck.

Investigations believe the suspects then broke into the victims home stealing guns, bows, watches, a four-wheeler and several other items.

Joseph Carroll and Chris Taylor were arrested and charged with receiving stolen property in connection with the case.
