Troy Couple Celebrates 65th Wedding Anniversary

From the CBS 8 Troy Newsroom-- A Troy couple is celebrating 65 years of marriage today.

Mathaniel and Lou Larkin first met in 1947 in the Pike County town of Spring Hill.

They say it was love at first sight.

The pair has 11 children, 36 grand children and 37 great grandchildren.

They say the secret to a happy marriage is love and God.

"We just made it just fine and the lord helped bless us throughout the family to have seven sons and four girls," says Mathaniel Larkin.

The Celebration and Praise 2012 event in Brundidge this Saturday is in honor of the Larkin's marriage.
