A Pike County couple convicted in a home invasion earlier this year will appeal their convictions and their 70-year sentences.
According to the circuit clerk's office, lawyers for Deanna McLeod and Parrish Bean filed the appeal earlier this week.
The couple was convicted in March for driving Bean's cousin, Thomas White, to a home where he allegedly robbed the homeowners.
White died at the house after the couple who lived there fought back. District Attorney Tom Anderson says McLeod and Bean were originally charged with murder. That charge was later dropped, since the law prohibits convictions on that charge in addition to the burglaries.
