Troy Police Searching for Man Who Robbed Pepsi Delivery Driver at Gunpoint
By Brittany Bivins

Troy Police are searching for a man they say robbed a Pepsi delivery driver at gunpoint this morning. Now they need your help tracking him down.

The Pepsi delivery truck pulled into 3 Notch Apartments around 10:30 Friday morning. Amanda Seigler lives in the apartment next to the Pepsi machine. She says she saw the delivery driver drive up, and went back inside.

"I was just going back about my business, and a little while later, I saw a cop car pull in, and I was like, I think I just saw a cop car pull in, and I look out, and there's like six cop cars out here in the parking lot," said Seigler.

Police say a masked man robbed the driver at gunpoint. "He was just approached. He was on his normal route, and he was approached, and the subject produced a firearm, at which time he robbed him and fled the scene," said Brian Weed with the Troy Police Department.

The man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and his gun. The delivery driver was not hurt, and called police.

People who live at the apartment building say it's shocking that this kind of crime could happen here. "This is Troy, it's a small town, and yeah, there's been some crimes around here, but still, when you get in your comfort zone, you feel like you're safe and then something like that happens so close to home, yeah, it kind of scares me," said Seigler.

"You can be anywhere and something happen, so you just have to be careful, wherever you are, no matter how safe you think you are," said Jamall Holmes, who also lives at the apartment complex.

Police say the robber is about 5'10 with a dark complexion. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Troy Police Department at 566-0500 or the Secret Witness Line at 566-5555.
