SELMA, Ala. (AP) - Two suspects were taken into custody after a suspicious fire engulfed an abandoned home in Selma.

The blaze began Tuesday afternoon a few blocks away from Old Live Oak Cemetery. Fire Chief Michael Stokes says that arson was "highly suspected."

Authorities said two suspects, possibly juveniles, were taken into custody. Their names were not immediately released.

Officials said the abandoned house was totally destroyed. The blaze spread to a neighboring home, where the flames were contained. Firefighters said they were able to prevent further damage to the neighborhood.
