6th Anniversary of Missing Lowndes Co. ManCBS 8 News is covering Lowndes County where family members and local officials gather for a man who went missing exactly 6 years ago today. Ronnie Harris left his Lowndes County home for work in Montgomery 6 years ago and never returned. Today, dozens of people met at the Boys and Girls Club in the Collierne Community to discuss the case and release 35 balloons, to represent the age he would be today. Loved ones say this is not a remembrance vigil but an effort to re-energize the case. They say they haven't given up and they still want answers. "Through these 6 years this family, his mother, his family, this community, this county have embraced his absence and have longed to find him," says Walter Hill. "Now I feel like a door is open because you know when I used to call I used to not get an answer, I feel like a door sort of opened now," says Rosie Harris. The family, along with several local officials, plan to once again search the area Harris was last seen, next week.
