The Dallas County school board has voted to close Five Points Elementary School in Orrville.

A school board member tells CBS 8 News that state leaders recommended that they consolidate their two elementary schools. So the board voted on Five Points Elementary School.

The K-5 students will now go to Salem Elementary and the sixth graders will move on to Keith High school.

School officials say the move would save the system hundreds of thousands of dollars.
