The principal of Shiloh Elementary School in Dallas County has been arrested in join operation by U.S. drug enforcement Agents and Selma police.
Aaron McKinley is charged with intent to distribute drugs Hydrocodone and Oxycodone.
Selma Police Chief William Riley says McKinley was observed selling the drugs to an individual while on school property.
"Anytime you sell any kind of illegal drug or substance on or near school property there are possible enhancement of the charges that will be placed against you. So, all those things will be looked at as this investigation continues," Riley told CBS 8 News.
Riley says McKinley also acknowledged that he bought a vehicle that was possibly stolen. It has been recovered and further charges are pending.
McKinley has been transported to Mobile.
