Man Dies In Lowndes County Car Crash

A Burkeville man died Saturday afternoon in a car crash, but police say alcohol and speeding was a factor.
Police say the accident happened at 1:15 p.m. just five miles north of Hayneville on Lowndes County 37. 61-year old Albert Charles Fleeton died when the 2001 Ford Mustang he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Police say Fleeton was not wearing a seat belt.
