Four students have been injured in a school bus accident in the community of Orrville in rural Dallas County.

State trooper spokesman Charles Dysart said four students were injured in the accident at 7:30 a.m. Monday. The injured students were taken to Regional Medical Center in Selma.

Dallas County schools communications director David Hagood said none of the injuries appeared to be serious and the students were expected to be treated and released.

Dysart said the accident occurred when the bus ran off Dallas County 3 and struck a tree. He said the bus was carrying 11 students and one driver. The driver was not injured, he said.

Hagood said the school bus takes students to both Keith Middle School and Salem Elementary School.
