Hayneville's Police Chief is back on duty after being suspended. Hayneville Mayor Kelvin Lawrence says police chief Kelvin Mitchell was reinstated after he agreed to meet certain conditions but the mayor refused to disclose those conditions. The mayor says Mitchell was suspended because of his attempt to arrest Lowndes county school superintendent, Daniel Boyd after a school board meeting Thursday night. The mayor wouldn't say what those conditions are or why Mitchell wanted to arrest the superintendent.
