Annual Historic Selma Pilgrimage this Weekend in Selma
From the CBS 8 West Alabama Newsroom-- History and architecture will be on display this weekend in Selma and Dallas County.
The Historic Selma Pilgrimage showcases the largest historic district in the state of Alabama. The event features guided tours through some of the historic homes and buildings. It draws hundreds of people to the city to experience the history and the architecture each year. "We're expecting a wonderful crowd, we're so excited about this year's pilgrimage because we've got new and different things, we wanted to add things this year. We're having a Town and a Country Tour." This year's pilgrimage also includes tours of homes in nearby Orrville and Old Cahawba.
