Isaac Causing Flooding in West Alabama

Hurricane Isaac's remnants are causing flooding in parts of Alabama.

The National Weather Service says streets in Selma were covered with as much as 3 feet of water early Tuesday after an all-night deluge, and a school bus got stuck on a muddy dirt road in Geneva County.

Parts of a highway are covered with water in Gordo, forcing the evacuation of some families. Some roads are also impassable in Bibb County.

The National Weather Service says some areas have gotten nearly 6 inches of rain since Monday, and more is possible on Tuesday.

Forecasters say the heaviest rains should taper off by Wednesday.
