KaBoom! Playground Goes Up in Selma

By George McDonald

From the CBS 8 West Alabama Newsroom-- A dream became a reality today in Selma as the community came together to build a new playground for area children-- in one single day.

More than 200 hundred volunteers came together to build the new KaBoom playground on a vacant lot at the corner of First Avenue and Green Street.

The playground was designed by the children of Selma.

The project was funded through donations from Hanil E Hwa, International Paper and the City of Selma.

The land for the project was donated by Concordia College Alabama.
