Major Drug Bust in Selma Leads to Dozens of Arrests

From the CBS 8 West Alabama Newsroom --There are more arrests from a major drug sweep in Selma today, this time at a business.

Police Chief William Riley says the owner of the Idle Inn convenience store on Chestnut and Broad has been arrested and the store has been seized.

He says synthetic marijuana was found in the store-- and on the owner during a search.

"He was of course arrested, an employee inside of the store was also arrested as the search continued we have a large truck that was parked in front of the store that is used for a storage place for the store, we searched that truck and found numerous bags of synthetic marijuana," Riley told CBS 8 News.

About 30 people have been arrested on various drug charges as a result of the sweep.
