New Hotel Open for Business in Marion

From the CBS 8 West Alabama Newsroom-- A new 60-room Sleep Inn Hotel and Suites is now open in Marion. The new $3.8 million dollar facility is the city's first and only hotel. It features a conference room, a fitness center and an outdoor pool for guests. Managers say it's also the only facility like it within a 20 mile radius. "All of the rooms have a 32-inch high definition televisions in them, the entire building is wireless as well as hard wired at the room level," said owner Kelvin Jones. The hotel project is the result of a public-private partnership.
