From the West Alabama Newsroom--  People in Demopolis will have to wait until next year before they get a chance to vote on whether to allow Sunday alcohol sales in the city.

The recently passed resolution by the Demopolis City Council supporting Sunday alcohol sales -- got to the state legislature too late to be considered during the current legislative session.

"We got in kind of late, it will probably not be on this ballot this coming up November," said Demopolis Mayor Mike Grayson.

Grayson says it could be as long as November 2015 before voters to get their say on the issue.
