One Man Shot and Another Man Beaten at Uniontown NightclubFrom the CBS 8 West Alabama Newsroom-- One man is shot and another man is severely beaten at a nightclub in Uniontown. Police Chief Donald Rhodes says the scene at Jones Sports Bar and Grill was chaotic when officers arrived early yesterday morning. He says an argument between two men ended with one man being shot-- and the alleged shooter being severely beaten by members of the shooting victim's family. The the shooting has some residents wondering how a gun got into the club in the first place. "You got people at the door searching you, patting you down, you got metal detectors, for somebody to get inside with a gun, it just don't make no sense," Uniontown resident Alvin Jones. Rhodes says no arrests have been made and the Alabama Bureau of Investigation has been called in to investigate. He says both men are expected to recover from their injuries. |
