It was a star-studded Sunday in Selma, as the cast and crew of the new movie "Selma" got together for a city meet and greet.

That included actress Oprah Winfrey and the movie's director Ava DuVernay. DuVernay is a well-known director and producer of independent film. Both she and Winfrey addressed the crowd about what the movie means to them.

"What we're trying to do, what I think Ava and our team has done so beautifully with this story, is to not make it just a story about Dr. King, but the whole community," said Winfrey.

Both Oprah and DuVernay were awarded keys to the city for their work on the movie.
