Selma Senator Opposes Proposed Amendment Number FourFrom Campaign 2012 -- State Senator Hank Sanders has come out against a proposed state constitutional amendment that will be found on next month's ballot --and he's urging Alabamians to vote it down. Sanders describes amendment number four as a wolf in sheep's clothing. He says it was just supposed to remove racist language from the constitution requiring segregation of school children and poll taxes-- but also includes language that could destroy public education. "The way it is written it could simply wipe out public education throughout the state," said Sanders. Sanders is urging people who believe in public education to vote against the amendment.
