Suspect Arrested in Juvenile Shooting in Marion

From the West Alabama Newsroom--  A Marion man is arrested for allegedly shooting a juvenile in the face.

Police Chief Carlton Hogue says 21 year old Kenny Tabb turned himself in to authorities Tuesday afternoon. He says Tabb was wanted for shooting a 17 year old juvenile in the mouth -- and into a car over the Fourth of July holiday.

Hogue says Tabb is charged with first-degree assault and criminal mischief. He says the shooting remains under investigation.

"We hadn't gotten down to the basics of what this shooting was about we're actively investigating that at this time," said Hogue.

Tabb is being held in the James Hood Detention Facility in Marion on bonds totaling 36-thousand dollars.
