From the West Alabama Newsroom--   Authorities in Dallas County need your help to find two thieves who broke into a school -- and stole and damaged thousands of dollars worth of i-pads.

School officials say the suspects broke into the library at South Side High school last week -- and took one the carts where i-pads are kept. They say the thieves took about a dozen i-pads -- and left the rest in the cart outside. They say more than a dozen i-pads left inside the cart were damaged by rain.

"Its unfortunate that that happened, its disheartening but we're still going to strive for perfection," said Principal Clarence Jackson.

Dallas Co. Sheriff's Office Investigator Mike Granthum says authorities are pursuing every lead.

"These kids, a lot of them, it's the only opportunity they'll have to work on a computer is through the school system and they provided it, and now we have two criminals that go into our school system and take stuff from our kids, and Dallas County Sheriff's Office will not put up, will not tolerate that kind of behavior," said Granthum.

If you have information about the burglary call the Dallas County Sheriff's Office at (334) 874-2530.
