A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Lowndes County School Superintendent, Daniel Boyd. School Board attorney Hank Sanders says the warrant was issued by Hayneville Police Chief Kelvin Mitchell. Sanders says the warrant charges Boyd with 243 counts of reckless endangerment of minors. He says the counts represent the number of female students that were allegedly put in danger when a school employee who had been accused of fondling a female student was allowed to return to work.
