Alabama Gives Dana Duckworth 5-Year Deal

Alabama will pay new gymnastics coach Dana Duckworth $170,000 annually under a five-year contract while several other coaches received raises.

University trustees approved Duckworth's deal on a conference call on Friday. She replaces Sarah Patterson, who retired after winning six national titles over 36 seasons.
Trustees also gave men's and women's track and field coach Dan Waters a $25,000 raise and two-year extension through June 30, 2017. Softball coach Patrick Murphy will make $252,000 annually through June 30, 2018 after a $12,000 raise.
Men's golf coach Jay Seawell, whose team has won two straight national titles, received a $15,000 raise to $203,000 plus a two-year extension through the 2019 season. Women's golf coach Mic Potter ($182,000) and women's tennis coach Jenny Mainz ($132,000) also received $12,000 raises.
