Bama's Hightower, Kirkpatrick Work Out for NFL ScoutsCornerback Dre Kirkpatrick and linebacker Don't'a Hightower were among the players participating in Round 1 of Alabama's pro day.
Both let their 40 times stand from the NFL combine but went through position drills Wednesday before representatives of all 32 NFL teams.
Projected first-round picks Trent Richardson, Courtney Upshaw and Mark Barron are scheduled to work out for NFL teams on campus March 29. Hightower also says he'll do the 225-pound bench press repetitions that day.
The 6-foot-2 Hightower says he has shed 10 pounds, down to 265. He's given up juices and sodas in an effort to keep his weight down ahead of the April draft.
