Biscuits defeat Suns 7-6
Jacksonville held a 6-3 lead after two innings of play but Montgomery rallied late and picked up a 7-6 win.
Down 1-0 entering the bottom of the first inning, Montgomery scored 3 runs off Omar Poveda (who left with an injury) but the Suns responded with a 5 run second inning against Biscuits starter Alex Colome.
Colome gave up all 6 runs on the evening but relief help from Alex Koronis, Neil Schenk and Adam Liberatore held Jacksonville scoreless over the final six frames to keep Montgomery in the game.
Ryan Garko and Kyeong Kang each had 3 hits and the Biscuits were 5 for 13 with runners in scoring position on an night where they pounded out 14 hits.
Both teams continue their series Wednesday night at Riverwalk Stadium with first pitch scheduled at 7:05.
