Mickey Andrews' Wife Dies From Stomach Cancer

 The wife of longtime Florida State defensive coordinator Mickey Andrews has died.
   
Diane Cook Andrews died Sunday at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Her death was confirmed by Tallahassee funeral home director Rocky Bevis, who said the funeral for Diane Andrews is scheduled Thursday at Celebration Baptist Church in Tallahassee.
   
The Andrews' were high school sweethearts who attended the University of Alabama together in the early 1960s. Andrews was a two-sport star and his future bride was a cheerleader. Andrews played football for the Crimson Tide under legendary coach Paul "Bear" Bryant.
   
Florida State athletic director Randy Spetman praised Mrs. Andrews as a special person whose love and care touched hundreds of student-athletes and everyone in the Seminole family. Bevis said the Andrews' were married for 50 years.
