CBS 8 Sports Analyst John Longshore was on CBS 8 News at 6:00 to preview this week's season-opening games for the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Auburn Tigers.

Longshore told CBS 8 Sports Director Dee Jackson that while Alabama is the 7th winningest football program all time, Michigan ranks at the top.

As for the Auburn Tigers, Longshore says there are concerns at center. Overall, he says Auburn has dealt with so many off-the-field issues that head coach Gene Chizik is probably eager to get the season started.
